Make a Vocal Cord Model

Tools: Rubber Band, Plastic Cup, A Straw. Instructions: Wrap the rubber band around the cup so it is stretched over the top and the bottom. Hold the cup upsidedown in one hand. With the other hand, point the straw -- held flat against the bottom of the cup -- at the band on the cup and blow! You will see the band vibrate and, therefore, make noise.
